Boldspace has been appointed as CheqUp’s retained PR agency following a competitive pitch process.

CheqUp is a leading provider of medically supervised weight loss programmes, providing members with leading GLP-1 weight loss medication including Wegovy (Ozempic) and Mounjaro. The company provides personalised treatment plans, clinical oversight and one-on-one coaching, empowering individuals to take charge of their health through accessible and evidence-based solutions.

The brand has appointed Boldspace to raise its awareness in a rapidly growing market, with 12 million people in the UK qualifying for GLP-1 medications. The agency’s remit includes delivering high-impact brand campaigns, thought leadership and media relations to raise awareness of CheqUp’s differentiated model, focused on combining medical intervention with long-term behaviour change and empathetic support.

Boldspace started work earlier in May and has already delivered the first campaign, announcing CheqUp’s strategic partnership with global weight loss leader, WeightWatchers.

The account will be led by Boldspace Co-CEO Mike Robb, reporting to CheqUp CEO Toby Nichol.

Toby Nichol, CEO of CheqUp, said: “We were looking for an agency who understood both the science and the emotion of what we do, and Boldspace immediately got it. Their strategic insight, integrated approach and data underpinning really stood out, and we’re excited about what lies ahead.”

Mike Robb, Co-CEO at Boldspace, said: “CheqUp is an exciting brand on a mission in a market segment that is going to grow exponentially in the coming years. This is a business genuinely changing lives for the better, but doing it the right way with clinical, compassionate and long-term care. We’re proud to help tell that story to the world.”
