Boldspace appoints experienced creative, Mike Beukes, as Executive Creative Director

Boldspace has announced the appointment of Mike Beukes as Executive Creative Director.

Beukes, who will join the Boldspace management team, has over 20 years’ experience leading creative strategy for some of the world’s biggest brands including Toshiba, Mastercard, Pepsi, Glenfiddich and Sony. Beukes has worked at many of the world’s big-name agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, TBWA, Publicis, Engine, and JWT.

A successful creative entrepreneur, Beukes is also passionate about building agencies and has successfully launched and managed London based agency Warp & Woof and WPP’s MetropolitanRepublic in Cape Town. He also played a pivotal role in the development of the integrated offering at Saatchi & Saatchi South Africa and creatively led DUKE – which was awarded South Africa’s best medium agency in 2020. 

The appointment marks another major milestone for Boldspace as it wraps up a year of huge growth. The team now totals over 40 people, with notable recent hires including Yuko Kondo as Art Director and Dan Pillay as Head of Product for BoldLensTM. The agency has added some major clients to its roster in 2022 including Fridays, Direct Line, Charles Tyrwhitt, and tech unicorn Deel.
