Boldspace adds three to growing PR team

Mike Robb

Brand building, communications and analytics agency Boldspace has announced three new hires to its PR team. The additions follow the appointment of Fleishman’s Steph Bailey as Chief Communications Officer as well as four hires to the agency’s strategy and creative teams, bringing the firm’s full time headcount to 22.

Tom Yazdi joins Boldspace as an Associate Director from Teneo, where he worked with a wide-range of clients from large multi-nationals to industry challengers. Yazdi will lead a number of corporate and B2B client teams at Boldspace and play a key role in expanding the work the agency does in this space.

Pia Jensen joins Boldspace as a Senior Consultant and brings a decade of experience to the fast-growing agency. She joins from Pumpkin PR, having spent the majority of her career working with technology clients, and will work across the Boldspace client roster to deliver integrated campaigns.

The trio of new hires are completed by Lydia Parr, who joins Boldspace as a Communications Executive following two years in marketing and communications at investment bank DC Advisory.

Three is not always a crowd

Mike Robb, Co-founder and Managing Director at Boldspace, said: “From day one we knew that attracting the right people to Boldspace was fundamental to delivering what we set out to achieve, which is why I’m so delighted with the range and quality of talent we have been able to bring on board recently. To have brought-in such great talent at a time when I know the job market is so competitive for agencies demonstrates how everyone is bought into what it is we are seeking to deliver here in the coming years.”

Commenting on his appointment, Tom Yazdi said: “Having worked at both large and small agencies over the last decade, I have seen first-hand the challenges each face. Boldspace is clearly tackling these challenges head-on and has created a model that clients today really need, merging data with creativity and with an agile approach to delivery. I am excited to play my part in building on what the team has delivered to date and do some more great work in the years ahead.”

Pia Jensen added: “I’ve been following the Boldspace journey for the past year and have been extremely impressed by the team’s success, especially in light of all the challenges our industry has faced due to the pandemic. Boldspace always struck me as an innovative agency and one that’s doing something new. It’s this approach and the incredible team that make me so excited to be joining the company, and I can’t wait to be a part of its future growth.”

Boldspace now has more than 30 clients across a range of sectors including technology, healthcare, fintech, financial services, ecommerce, and energy.
