Boldspace appoints Tom Franz as Head of Film
Franz will work across the agency’s client base to oversee the production of film and integrated, visual campaigns based on real-time, data-led insights gleaned from the agency’s proprietary analytics platform BoldLensTM.
This latest hire, which takes the headcount to 28 in the UK, demonstrates the agency’s clear commitment to fusing data with creativity to help brands identify the space where they can innovate and differentiate, before creating world-class work that cuts through.
Franz previously worked across the luxury and lifestyle industries as both a producer, director and director of photography creating award-winning work for the likes of Clinique, CNN and One&Only. As Head of Production at social first agency Digital Natives he then maximised the value of film for clients across integrated channels with a social first methodology for the likes of Breville, FitBit and LVMH.
Nick Ford-Young Co-founder at Boldspace, said: “We launched Boldspace two years ago with the simple belief that data and creativity combined is the future of the agency model. We’re incredibly proud of the award-winning work we have already delivered; and the addition of a multi-skilled producer, director and creative with Tom’s ability demonstrates how highly we value the execution of our creative ideas. We are delighted to welcome Tom to the team and about what this means for our clients.”
Commenting on his appointment, Tom Franz said: “Boldspace is an agency doing things differently and proving its effectiveness. Integrating advertising, marketing and PR with such a concerted focus on data and strategy whilst maintaining the very highest standards of creativity and execution, offers a hugely significant opportunity for clients. I am truly excited about what we can achieve here, and I know the rapid growth Boldspace has experienced in their first two years has not even scratched the surface of where we are headed.”
The appointment follows significant expansion at Boldspace in recent months, with the recent appointment of Aivory Gaw as Chief Brand Officer from WPP. The agency now has more than 30 clients across a wide-range of sectors including the Post Office and Fridays.
