Delivering a long-term communications programme to showcase a new entrant to the UK market
Background
Post-pandemic, global talent searches increased, but regulatory barriers hindered hiring. Deel, a tech-driven hiring, payroll, and HR platform, emerged to address these issues. Boldspace was appointed as Deel’s PR agency to grow its UK presence.
Our approach
We created a launch event and media story on post-pandemic hiring challenges, positioning Deel as a leading authority on cross-border hiring and international expansion for UK media, establishing their profile and expertise from the outset.
Launch event
A UK launch event featured an expert panel discussing fresh research. Insight from Deel urged these businesses to think differently or risk missing out, driving coverage in national, high-reach media outlets like the Times.

Content
The event acted as a content catalyst that delivered credibility and stature for Deel, including building the profile of the CEO with outlets such as The Times, CNBC and FT, announcing the company hitting both $100m and $200m ARR in the space of less than a year, and securing high profile speaker opportunities.
Newsjacking
A hardworking newsjacking programme meant that Deel commentary on the remote working debate and the rise of digital nomads was frequently covered in tier 1 trade titles read by their core HR decision-maker audience.

Thought leadership
Deel’s bi-annual Global Hiring Report secured tier 1 coverage in the likes of City AM, while a Boldspace-led study into how diverse teams outperform those who aren’t – drawing parallels between Premier League football teams and corporate workforces – drew exposure in The Sun and various business titles.
Impact & results
- Media coverage: 400+ in first year
- Target exposure: double digit national coverage
- Relationships: established with key national opinion formers
'Our rapid expansion meant we needed a PR partner who could be agile and reactive as well as strategic. Boldspace has demonstrated that they fit the bill, combining smart, creative thinking with excellent delivery.'
