Background

With the global war for talent intensifying, and employers and employees alike increasingly looking across borders for opportunities, the time was right for a new, tech driven remote working and HR platform to establish itself in the UK. Deel appointed Boldspace to act as its retained UK PR agency, initially to create a ‘big bang’ launch moment and then to deliver ongoing corporate press office activity.

How We Got There

Deel had no real profile in the UK. To change this, we created a launch event and media story focused on the challenges and opportunities for businesses off the back of the pandemic and ‘Great Resignation’. This was supported by an ongoing programme of corporate communications, media relations, thought leadership, executive profiling, and speaker opportunities to drive a drumbeat of activity that demonstrated the brand’s huge growth story in the UK and around the world.

A view on the future of work

We combined an expert panel with Deel customer data and fresh research which found that while a growing cohort of businesses are embracing global hiring, too many remain reluctant to shift their mindset. Insight from Deel urged these businesses to think differently or risk missing out. The event acted as a content catalyst that delivered credibility and stature for Deel, including building the profile of the CEO with outlets such as The Times, CNBC and the FT, announcing the company hitting both $100m and $200m ARR in the space of less than a year, securing high profile speaker opportunities at events, and a successful newsjacking programme.
