The Institute of Export & International Trade appoints Boldspace to strategic communications brief following competitive pitch
Brand value agency Boldspace has been appointed as strategic communications partner to provide media relations and executive profile building support to The Institute of Export & International Trade, following a competitive pitch process.
The Institute of Export & International Trade is the leading membership body for businesses and individuals that trade internationally. Founded as a charity in 1935, it has over 7,500 members ranging from sole traders to multinationals. The Institute partners HM Government and overseas governments to deliver national and international programmes to promote international trade. Demand for its digital training and education programmes has increased since the UK’s exit from the European Union, with the organisation growing rapidly to over 170 people with offices in Peterborough, London, Bangor (Northern Ireland), Nairobi and Brussels.
The brief covers executive profiling, working closely with The Institute’s Director General Marco Forgione, as well as developing and delivering a wider programme of strategic communications and media relations to further establish the organisation as the leading experts on international trade. Central to this will be Boldspace’s recently bolstered Newsroom team, led by ex-journalist Khush Sachdave. The Institute will also utilise Boldspace’s proprietary data analytics platform, BoldLens, to measure the ongoing impact of its communications and marketing strategy.
The account will be led by Boldspace Client Director Tom Yazdi, reporting to Chris Martin, Director of External Affairs at the Institute of Export & International Trade.
Tom Yazdi, Client Director at Boldspace, said: “The future of international trade, and the ability of UK businesses to export, is one of the important and exciting issues the country faces post-Brexit. The Institute of Export & International Trade is perfectly positioned to provide expert analysis and advice; both to organisations navigating the new world of free trade deals and export rules, and to the wider public as they see conflicts and geopolitical tensions impact the price of goods in their shopping basket. We’re delighted to partner with Chris and his team to bring more attention to the fantastic work his organisation delivers.”
Chris Martin, Director of External Affairs at The Institute of Export & International Trade, said: “We are in a period of rapid growth, with the shifting global economic landscape driving demand for our education and consultancy services. To support us as we grow, we need a communications partner that can adapt to the breadth of subjects we deal with and support the ambitions of the Institute. We’re thrilled to be working with Boldspace, who demonstrated an impressive level of understanding of the issues we are helping businesses navigate, and I look forward to a successful partnership.”
