Starting the year on top! Boldspace appointed by Lovehoney to retained PR brief

Adam Larter

Sexual wellness brand Lovehoney has appointed brand value agency Boldspace as its UK PR agency. The partnership will see Boldspace work alongside Lovehoney’s existing inhouse team to promote its online products, as well as develop campaigns to help break down the stigma around sex toys and sexual pleasure.

Lovehoney, which describes itself as the sexual happiness people, started a new era of sex toy shopping when it was founded back in 2002. Fast forward 20 years and it is now at the forefront of developments in the sexual wellbeing market globally, and on a mission to make a fulfilling sex life available for everyone.

The appointment comes after Boldspace supported Lovehoney through its busy retail period in Q4 last year.

Commenting on the partnership, Verena Singmann, Head of PR, at Lovehoney said: “We were really impressed with Boldspace’s creative ideas, proactivity and agency approach. They proved to us very quickly that they understood the brand and our mission. We are excited to work with them more closely and help us create a stir in the sexual wellness industry and beyond.”

Lou Kelly, Head of Consumer at Boldspace, said: “As an agency, we have always been about igniting bold conversations and what brand is better placed to do this than Lovehoney? There are so many important conversations we want to start driving and the team is excited to get heads down into the work. Boldspace is buzzing this January!”

The appointment follows significant growth in the consumer business at Boldspace this year, with the team working with brands including TGI Fridays, Moonpig, Direct Line, BetMGM, and carwow.
