Proptech firm Homeppl appoints Boldspace to PR brief following competitive pitch

Property tech (proptech) firm Homeppl has appointed brand building, communications and analytics agency Boldspace to lead PR following a competitive pitch process.

The agency will deliver communications strategy and content delivery to build awareness of the London-based business as it grows its footprint in the property space.

Homeppl is an award-winning technology disruptor collecting and verifying consumer data. The firm’s unique technology enables legitimate tenants from all around the world to rent properties across Europe and the UK on fair terms, including students, self-employed and internationals. Its platform also supports real estate agencies and landlords by detecting fraudulent applications while also conducting highly accurate due diligence and verification processes via Open Banking, behavioural analysis and leveraging unique algorithms.

The business recently announced figures showing a staggering 263% increase in the value of fraudulent tenant applications in the last three months, meaning it was able to protect clients from more than £800,000 in losses as a result of taking on fraudulent tenants.

The account will be overseen by Boldspace co-founder Mike Robb and led by Senior Consultant Imogen Kranz, reporting to Homeppl Head of Commercials Ben Harris.

Ben Harris, Head of Commercials at Homeppl, said: “The tenant checking process is failing both tenants and the landlords they rent from. Outdated technology means legitimate tenants are not able to access the properties they deserve, while landlords are missing out on a huge pool of people, and therefore income. We have developed the solution but have not been publicly talking about it or the potential we think it has to change the market – we now look forward to changing that, working with Boldspace to demonstrate how we are creating a rental market that works for all.”

Mike Robb, Co-founder and Managing Director of Boldspace, said: “Homeppl is a business addressing the fundamental problems facing tenants and landlords alike, challenging an outdated model and way of working. They are a perfect client for Boldspace and our approach to working with ambitious brands of the future, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to tell this exciting story to the market in the years to come.”

This latest win for Boldspace, which recently celebrated its first birthday, follows a hugely successful year for the agency, which now has eight clients in the fintech space among more than 25 others spanning sectors including technology, healthcare, financial services, ecommerce, travel, and green energy.
