Situated on Cancun’s Playa del Carmen, Viceroy Riviera Maya is an award-winning resort in a highly competitive location. In 2022, as the world started travelling again, Viceroy Riviera Maya wanted to appeal to younger, progressive travellers. It wasn’t enough to just showcase their credentials, we knew we needed to demonstrate a point of view that aligns with the modern traveller.
After an extensive review of the competitor set and travel trends, we pinpointed a unique intersection where Viceroy Riviera Maya could really make its mark. Its authentic jungle aesthetics and transformational experiences made the resort a place where the affluent yet bohemian traveller could really feel at home. We wanted to position Viceroy Riviera Maya as a place where creativity thrives, and new ideas awaken – exemplified through the strapline “Find your inner Viceroy.”
‘Finding your inner Viceroy’ is materialised through a program of ongoing activity spanning activations, media relations, social media content and influencer marketing, building on the creativity and stories of Mexico and the Riviera Maya area. This has allowed us to showcase the property as a hub of creativity, seeking out local artists and creative mavericks of all disciplines to help them find inspiration at the resort.
Viceroy Riviera Maya is creative and disruptive, distinctive and inspiring. The Boldspace team showed they understood our brand and ambitions. Like us, they are not afraid to push the boundaries.
