The Healthcare Workers’ Foundation is a charity for healthcare workers, supporting the welfare and wellbeing of those fighting to keep the general public safe during the pandemic and beyond. Originally named HEROES, the HWF came to Boldspace looking for a communications, social and brand strategy that helped them build both awareness and donations, as well as future-proof the charity’s existence to ensure their mission would continue for those who needed it.

The Healthcare Workers’ Foundation is unique in its sector, as the breadth of its offering means that each donor will also directly and indirectly be a beneficiary of the charity at some stage in their lives. This bold space – that “every donor is a beneficiary” – was perfectly positioned to drive engaging fundraising.
We capitalized on the NHS’s 72nd birthday to drive 72 ways people could help the NHS in real time, promoting the campaign across social, digital and OOH. We renamed the charity Healthcare Workers’ Foundation and rebranded to create a more cause driven, deeply rooted association for a new era of connecting suppliers, those in need, charities and donors.
Doubled engagement rates across social platforms during the campaign.
Increased week-on-week donations to Healthcare Workers' Foundation by 50%.
Drove NHS staff engagement with HEROES that led to at least five counselling appointments being taken-up during the campaign.
