However, the marketplace was becoming increasingly crowded, and with over 98% of people not using reusable cups, it was time to create a strategy that would help Ecoffee Cup stand out and inspire change.

The reusable cup marketplace is saturated with several eco-driven ‘lifestyle’ brands – and a purely ethical stance is no longer a differentiator. The opportunity for market penetration was therefore to understand and relate to the real behaviour of real people, focusing our main attention vs the disposable cup targeting a new audience; not vs ‘lifestyle’ brands within the current competitive set.
