ACCOUNT MANAGER (SOCIAL MEDIA LEAD)

Full time £35k

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in an account management / social media manager role within an agency, with experience in managing projects that require a robust social media strategy to amplify a brand positioning or creative campaign. The ideal candidate will need to have strong organisational skills with demonstrable creative capability, be comfortable with overseeing complex and multi-faceted projects and communications plans and be able to write and manage social media content and planning.

The candidate must demonstrate tangible and comprehensive experience in growing social media audiences – through the application of both paid and owned campaigns – which includes the ability to manage complex social media calendars, the management of creative teams against social media objectives, an understanding of social media metrics and reporting, as well as the ability to write flawless social copy tailored to each channel’s unique behaviour and tone.

THE ROLE

Reporting to our Account Director, you will be a significant contributor to all brand activity at Boldspace. You will take ownership of social media-led briefs and will work alongside a creative team.

  • Social media expertise: you will lead a client portfolio within the agency delivering digital-first social work – either directly leading the portfolio and delivering the work with your team, or consulting and overseeing social media work, delivered by other client leads. This also means that you will have a natural curiosity for social/digital trends and are comfortable sharing these insights both with clients as well as to train our teams.
  • Copywriting and content development: you will plan, develop, write, and edit social media copy with an excellent creative eye and ability to judge and implement varied contexts based on the tone of voice guidelines, brand positioning and campaign requirements.
  • Strategic client relationships: as you will be managing a varied list of clients, you will demonstrate the ability to deeply understand our client’s business and market – and to be confident in being the first port of call for that client. This means having both the calmness and character to solve problems, build relationships and grow accounts commercially.
  • Creative thinking and strategic advice: there will not be a day that goes by where we aren’t spending time coming up with creative ideas to solve our clients’ biggest problems, whether that is how to amplify a new product launch or how to navigate a tricky reputational issue. This is our absolute focus and what sets us apart. You must be able to contribute.
  • Content development: you’ll be working with our creative team to hone content and content strategy for clients, whether that is paid, owned, social or earned, whether written, voice or video.
  • Growth and opportunity: you will also be comfortable with writing high-quality proposals and presentations with the client’s objectives front of mind, ensuring a ‘social first’ approach to your recommendations.
  • New business and marketing: everyone at Boldspace ‘sells’ because we all fundamentally believe in the problems the industry faces and the solutions we are building to solve them. You will play a part in growing the business by supporting marketing activity, writing your own content, attending events and conferences, and creating thought leadership.
  • Systems management: we use the best tech in the business to get the job done – whether that be project management, financial oversight or competitive reviews – so you’ll need to be comfortable diving straight in and learning the ins and outs of each platform.
